Vote: Who was the top girls performer of the FHSAA state basketball finals 4A-1A (3/3/2024)?

We give you eight candidates to choose from

LAKELAND, FLORIDA- The high school basketball state semifinals and championships arrived to Polk County last week, with some great individual performances along the way.

SBLive Sports Florida was on hand at the RP Funding Center to checkout the state semifinals, championship games and we plucked out eight names that we felt stood out to us.

We ask you the fans to decide, who was the top girls performer at the FHSAA basketball state finals 4A-1A? Checkout our list of names and vote for who you think did the best. Voting ends on March 7th, 11:59 p.m.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other players who may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are the nominations: 

De'Mya Adams, Hawthorne: Needing a spark in the second half, Adams took her game up another notch in helping Hawthorne notch back-to-back 1A state championships. The point guard scored a team-high 16 points, three rebounds and two assists. 

Brianna Adams, Graceville: Needing to overcome a cut to her forehead in the second half, Adams left it all out on the court in a 43-40 loss to Hawthorne in the 1A state championship game. Adams scored 13 points, six rebounds and five assists. 

Jadah Toombs, Evangelical Christian: Doing a little bit of everything for the Sentinels, Toombs was the spark plug in the 2A state championship victory. Toombs finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds and five steals. 

Janiya Swift, Central Florida Christian Academy: Swift did everything she could to lead the Eagles to the 2A state title. Though CFCA came up short, Swift had herself a solid performance in the championship final, scoring 16 points, four rebounds and three steals. 

Kayla Nelms, Miami Country Day: Nelms seemed like she couldn't miss come state championship time for the Spartans. In leading Miami Country Day back to another title, Nelms finished with 24 points and nine rebounds in the 3A state championship win. 

Madi Mignery, Cardinal Mooney: From scoring on put backs to pulling down rebounds, Mignery played well in the frontcourt for the Cougars throughout the state semifinals and final. Mignery finished the 3A state championship game scoring 11 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. 

Jada Eads, Lake Highland Prep: The Seton Hall signee displayed why she's moving on to play at the next level. Eads finished her high school career with 22 points, six rebounds and two assists in the Class 4A state championship win over Bishop Kenny.

Clare Coyle, Bishop Kenny: Coyle was a handle down in the low block for whomever she was up against in Lakeland. In the Class 4A final, she saved her best for last and scored 22 points, 17 rebounds, two assists and two steals.
