Vote: Who was the top boys performer of the FHSAA state basketball finals 4A-1A (3/3/2024)?

We give you eight candidates to choose from

LAKELAND, FLORIDA- The high school basketball state semifinals and championships arrived to Polk County last week, with some great individual performances along the way.

SBLive Sports Florida was on hand at the RP Funding Center to checkout the state semifinals, championship games and we plucked out eight names that we felt stood out to us.

We ask you the fans to decide, who was the top boys performer at the FHSAA basketball state finals 4A-1A? Checkout our list of names and vote for who you think did the best. Voting ends on March 7th, 11:59 p.m.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other players who may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are the nominations:

Jacob Daniels, Gibbs: Wanting to end a 55-year drought since the last time the Gladiators won a state championship, Daniels willed them to the finish line. The elusive guard scored a team-high 22 points, five rebounds and dished out two assists.

Ronald Durham, Andrew Jackson: Durham showed the ability to get to the rim throughout the semifinals and state championship. Though the Tigers came up short, Durham scored a team-high 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Dante Allen, Riviera Prep: When it comes to dynamic combo guards, it's hard to argue any were better than Allen last week. The sophomore sensation scored a team-high 26 points along with six rebounds, two assists in leading the Bulldogs to the Class 3A state championship over Windermere Prep.

Brandon Bass Jr., Windermere Prep: We have a good feeling Bass Jr., since he's just a sophomore, will likely be back in Lakeland to compete for a state championship. The forward led the Lakers with 18 points.

Reggie White, Williston: Whether it was scoring, rebounding or dishing out assists, White was on it in leading the Red Devils to the Class 1A state championship victory over Hilliard. The forward scored 14 points, grabbed six boards and dished out six assists.

CJ Hall, Hilliard: The 6-foot-4 junior guard was simply sensational despite being on the losing end of the 1A title game. Hall scored a game-high 23 points in a 61-53 loss to Williston.

Kevin Thomas, Sagemont: Up against a tough Orlando Christian Prep team once again, Thomas made sure the hardware was coming back to South Florida. Thomas scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed six boards in the Class 2A state championship win.

Isaiah Brown, Orlando Christian Prep: The University of Florida signee has been one of the state's top players all season long and showed in the 2A title game why. Brown finished the championship final scoring 15 points and pulling down nine rebounds.
