Ponte Vedra defeats Wiregrass Ranch in 6A, Region 1 final (2/23/24)
It's playoff basketball time around the state of Florida and action continues tonight as the region finals begin.
One of the top matchups in the Sunshine State taking place tonight is between the Ponte Vedra (22-7) and Wiregrass Ranch Bulls (26-3).
The Sharks and Bulls have not met this season. The two teams meet for the first time in tonight's Class 6A, Region 1 final action. The Bulls are aiming to pickup win No. 27 on the season.
Wiregrass Ranch is led in the scoring department by junior shooting guard KJ Smith, who is averaging a team-high 18.2 points per game. Second on the team in scoring is senior Preston Linville at 17.0 a contest.
Ponte Vedra is paced by senior guard Sam Ritchie, who is averaging a team-high 14.7 points per game.
