IMG Academy football team to face Bergen Catholic (New Jersey) in 2024
Come late August, IMG Academy will be hopping on flights to head back to New Jersey for the second year in a row.
According to High School Football America’s Jeff Fisher, IMG Academy will travel up to Ocean City, New Jersey on August 29th (Thursday) to face off against Bergen Catholic (New Jersey) in the ‘Battle of the Beach’.
The Ascenders are no strangers to this event as they faced St. Joseph’s Prep (Pennsylvania) last season and won 17-14. Now they’ll go up against Bergen Catholic on a Thursday night at Carey Stadium.
IMG Academy finished undefeated last season and had impressive victories over teams like St. Joseph Prep, Lipscomb Academy (Tennessee), Bartram Trail, Pine Forest, Gray Collegiate Academy (South Carolina) and St. Frances Academy (Maryland).
In SBLive Florida’s final Power 25 rankings after the 2023 season, the Ascenders finished as the No. 2 in the state behind Class 1M state champion Chaminade-Madonna.
