The Spartans and Bears face off in a Class 4A, Region 3 quarterfinal tilt

It's playoff basketball time around the state of Florida and action continues tonight as the region quarterfinals begin.

One of the top matchups in the Sunshine State taking place tonight is between the Lakewood (10-15) and Brooksville Central (21-6).

The Spartans and Bears have not met this season and kickoff the Class 4A, Region 3 action. The Bears are aiming to pickup win No. 22 on the season.

Brooksville Central is led in the scoring department by senior shooting guard Braden Joyner, who is averaging a team-high 15.5 points per game.

The winner of tonight's contest will face the winner of Estero-Gateway.
