DJ Pickett, 2025 5-star safety, down to Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan & Oregon

The junior safety says his next announcement will be his commitment

One of the country’s top players of the 2025 class has narrowed his choices down to five schools.

According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Zephyrhills’ wide receiver/safety DJ Pickett announced via X, formerly known as Twitter, that the two-way star is down to Georgia, LSU, Miami (FL, Michigan and Oregon. Pickett followed it up by saying his next announcement regarding schools will be his eventual home.

The junior dynamo was a threat on offense and defense. Pickett had over 1,000 yards receiving and not many teams wanted to throw his way when he was at safety and rightfully so.

The junior has helped the Bulldogs reached the Class 3S playoffs the last two seasons, going over the 1,000-yard mark in both campaigns.

Pickett is arguably the school’s most recruited player of all time, with notable Bulldogs’ alum being former NFL’er Ryan Pickett and Bryan Thomas, who ended up playing at the University of Florida.
