2024 Buccaneers Flag Football Kickoff & Preseason Classic schedule

The kickoff classic features 108 games in total

TAMPA, FLORIDA – The 6th annual Tampa Bay Buccaneers Girls Flag Football Kickoff & Preseason Classic will take place at the Ed Radice Sports Complex in Tampa, Florida.

Last year, the event was held at the AdventHealth Training Center and now moves over to the larger Ed Radice Sports Complex this winter with 108 games scheduled to be played, starting on Wednesday, February 14th and ending on Saturday, February 17th.

The annual preseason Classic will feature many of the state’s top teams, including the 2023 Class 2A state champion Alonso and Class 1A champion Robinson.

To kick off the week’s festivities, the Buccaneers will host a special evening for participating athletes and coaches on Tuesday, February 13th in the Hyundai Club (West) at Raymond James Stadium.

The event will feature prominent leaders in the flag football industry, covering topics such as the growth of flag football on the collegiate level and a panel discussion dubbed “Flag Football on the International Stage: The Pathway to Becoming an Olympian.” Following the program, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the Buccaneers' locker room, meet and greet with Buccaneers players, and take a team photo on the stadium’s Pirate Ship and more.

The scheduled speakers for the kickoff event are:

  • Mrs. Darcie Glazer Kassewitz – Co-Owner, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Mayor Jane Castor – Mayor, City of Tampa
  • Dasha Smith – Executive Vice President & Chief Administrative Officer, NFL
  • Izell Reese – Chief Executive Officer, RCX Sports & Executive Director, NFL Flag
