South Florida boys’ basketball has been heating up, with the talent-rich area featuring some of the top performers in the state. Many put on a show this past week.

SBLive Sports Florida is tracking all the action, and singling out some of the top performers for our South Florida Basketball Player of the Week polls.

Reminder, these polls are intended to be fun, while providing exposure to the players and schools. SBLive Sports Florida aims to recognize as many players and schools as possible.

As always, we encourage players, coaches and schools to post on social media the performances of these athletes. Or they can reach out to @JoeFrisaro on X (formerly Twitter).

Vote as often as you want. Spread the word!

Congratulations to last week's winner: Kevin Thomas, F, Sagemont

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

The nominees this week are:

Cameron Boozer, Forward, Columbus: When you’re one of the best players in the country, you’re going to find yourself in our weekly poll numerous times. It’s hard to ignore Boozer’s 26-points in 26 minutes in the Explorers’ 81-62 win over national power, Long Island Luther. Boozer added five blocked shots.
