Vote: Who should be the South Florida basketball Player of the Week?
The holidays are over, and it’s back to school for high school students in South Florida.
But that doesn’t mean that sports shut down during the break. Many South Florida boys basketball teams participated in various holiday tournaments.
SBLive Sports Florida is recognizing some of the top performers during the break.
Now, we’re asking you, the fans, to decide who should be the SBLive Sports Florida South Florida boys’ basketball Player of the Week.

The player of the week choices are as follows:
Marcus Allen, F, Miami Norland: Norland participated in the SLAM Hoopfest in Tampa, and Allen made a huge impact for the Vikings. Against Tampa Catholic, in a 75-47 win, the 6-foot-7 forward had 26 points. And in a win over Olympia, he finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and three blocked shots. Allen also had games in which he scored 20 and 19 points.
Cameron Boozer, F, Columbus: The Explorers participated in the Les Schwab Invitational in Portland, Oregon, and in an 83-54 win against Beaverton, the 6-foot-10 junior scored 33 points, with 19 rebounds and four blocked shots. The Explorers are now 13-4 on the season.
Cody Dinnall, F, Monarch: The senior tossed in 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in Monarch’s 53-39 victory against Monsignor Pace in the Sunshine State Explosion tournament.
Enrique Duboy, G, Archbishop McCarthy: The Mavericks participated in the Greg O’Connell Shootout, and reached the finals, falling 64-48 to Orlando University. In a 64-54 win against Springstead in the semifinals, Duboy picked up 22 points, and he added 14 in a 31-point win against New Port Richey Gulf.
Sebastian Gonzalez, F, Miami Christian: The Victors are now 10-4 after winning three games in a Key West holiday tournament. Gonzalez had 20 points in a 70-55 win against Key West.
Santiago Henriquez, G, Palmetto: Henriquez put on a show, scoring 40 points on 13 for 26 shooting, with five three-point shots in the Panthers’ 102-61 win over Homestead. Henriquez also had a 23-point game in a 79-62 victory against Cypress Lake.
Alexander Lloyd, G, Westminster Academy: The 6-foot-4 junior dropped 18 points, with eight rebounds and three assists in an 80-49 win against Sagemont. Lloyd also added 17 points in a three-point loss to powerhouse Columbus.
Jasen Lopez, G, True North Classical: In a 77-69 win against Florida Christian, Lopez scored 27 points and added 10 rebounds. True North won the tournament, and Lopez was named the tournament MVP.
Christopher Ramos, G, Miami Christian: Ramos had 29 points and nine rebounds for the Victors in an 11-point win against Ransom Everglades.
Jase Richardson, G, Columbus: At a holiday tournament in Portland, Richardson (committed to Michigan State) had a big game in the Explorers’ 55-54 win against Harvard-Westlake (Calif.), finishing with 19 points and six rebounds.
Kevin Thomas, F, Sagemont: A 6-foot-7 sophomore, Thomas had 21 points, four rebounds and two assists in a 20-point win against Berkmar (Lilburn, Ga.). Thomas also had an 18-point game against Tri-Cities (East Point, Ga.) in the Tournament of Champions at Chattahoochee High.
