Vote: Who is the Northeast Florida Boys Basketball Player of the Week (12/18/2023)?

We have seven candidates for you to choose from

The Florida High School Boys Basketball season has begun and we begin our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state. Teams started off the regular season with some great individual performances.

As such, we have seven athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Northeast Florida high school boys basketball player of the week award from December 11-16, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, December 24th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Congratulations to Providence School’s Chris Arias for winning last week’s Northeast Florida poll!

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are the nominations:

Joshua Moricette, F, Trinity Christian Academy: Moricette is another athlete making the transition from football to basketball. The senior is doing just fine, as he scored a game-high 24 points and snagged five boards in a 66-32 win over River City Science Academy.

Kenneth Berry, G, Eagle's View: Berry led the way in Eagle's View 76-47 victory over Christ's Church, with the senior scoring a game-high 22 points and snatched eight rebounds.

Christopher Roberts, G, Menendez: The senior guard showed up in a big way in Menendez's 65-48 victory over Oakleaf. Roberts led the Falcons with a game-high 24 points and grabbed four boards.

Tyler Cowan, G, Ponte Vedra: The Sharks have been one of Northeast Florida's top teams and Cowan has been a leader for the club. Cowan scored a team-high 17 points in Ponte Vedra's 61-45 victory over Tocoi Creek.

Henry Robinson Jr, G, Matanzas: The 6-foot-7 freshman has impressed early on this season. Robinson Jr. scored 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a 64-60 win over St. Augustine.

Caleb Williams, G, Ribault: The senior combo guard turned in another strong performance for the Trojans last week. In Ribault's 77-66 win over San Jose Prep, Williams scored a team-high 23 points, seven rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Kaden Ferguson, G, Bolles: Up against a Creekside squad that's been playing well as of late, Ferguson stepped up to lead Bolles to a dub. The junior guard scored a team-high 17 points, dishing out six assists and getting three steals.
