The area is loaded with talented players and teams.

Each week, we will be honoring the top boys and girls in our Player of the Week polls.

Today we will start with the SBLive Sports Florida boys basketball Player of the Week. On Tuesday, we will conduct our girls basketball poll.

As we launch our polls, we encourage players, coaches and schools to send their nominations to @JoeFrisaro on X (formerly Twitter).

These polls are intended to be fun, while providing recognition to deserving players from as many schools as possible.
