Vote: Who should be SBLive's Florida high school football coach of the week (11/26/2023)?

We have eight candidates up for voting from last week's playoff games
Coach of the Week

Congratulations to last week's winner: LaVaar Scott, Sebring

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Hank Brown, Plant: The Panthers' lead man made it happen without the team's best player Waltez Clark for the entire second half of Plant's 20-14 win over Sumner in a Class 4M, Region 2 final. Brown has led Plant to the state semifinals, the Panthers first appearance since 2017.

Matt Adams, Pensacola Catholic: This time last year, Pensacola Catholic fell 18-14 to FSU High in the Class 2S playoffs. Revenge was in the minds of the Crusaders and Adams guided his club to a 17-10 win over last year's state runner-ups.

Scottie Littles, Sarasota Booker: Is there a team that's surprised folks more than Littles' Tornadoes? The answer is no after Sarasota Booker forced over half a dozen turnovers in its 38-32 victory over Bishop Verot last week in a Class 2S region final.

Rick Darlington, DeLand: All roads were leading back to states for Darlington. The legendary head coach is a 3-time state champion for a reason and had Treasure Coast's number in a 37-6 road victory in a Class 4S region final.

Kirk Karsen, Gaither: Needing extra time to pull off a 31-24 victory over Jesuit in a Class 4M, Region 2 final, Karsen pressed all the right buttons. The Gaither head coach had his team within a point of the Tigers during the regular season and pulled off an upset at Corral Memorial Stadium.

Elijah Williams, Jones: One of the hottest teams in the state right now is the Jones Fightin' Tigers. Williams led his team to a thrilling 28-24 win over Edgewater last week and this week went into the 813 and upended Tampa Bay Tech 24-21 in a Class 3M region final.

Chris Harvey, Clearwater Central Catholic: The man from Man, West Virginia just keeps leading his team closer to a return back to the Class 1M state championship game. Harvey, a former University of Miami lineman, guided the Marauders to a thrilling 45-41 win over Carrollwood Day.

Jamie Rodgers, Bradford: Three up and three down for Rodgers and the Tornadoes. Rodgers' defense has been stifling, only allowing seven points in three playoff games. Bradford soundly defeated Baker County 43-0 last week in a Class 2S region final.
