It was just last year that Miami Northwestern quarterback Taron Dickens, who has since graduated, set the all-time Miami-Dade passing record at 10,475 yards after 2022.

A year later, Dickens’ record has been surpassed already by one of the state’s top signal callers.

Miami Norland quarterback Ennio Yapoor set the new all-time passing record at 10,489 yards after the Vikings’ thrilling 31-28 Class 2M, Region 4 final overtime win over Miami Central

The record now sits at 10,489 by Yapoor and he still has another game (state semifinal vs. Bolles) next week and possibly a state championship appearance. Plus one more season, with Yapoor being only a junior.

Down below is the 69-yard throw by Yapoor that set the new Miami-Dade all-time passing record, surpassing Dickens’ previous mark. Dickens is now at Western Carolina playing collegiately.
