Vote: Who should be SBLive's Florida high school football coach of the week (11/19/2023)?

We have eight candidates up for voting from last week's playoff games
Coach of the Week

Congratulations to last week's winner: Cory Johns, Bartram Trail

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Josh Smithers, Sarasota Riverview: One of the toughest coaching jobs last week had to go to Smithers. Many coaches on his staff played for the late John Sprague, who passed away just days before the region semifinal versus Manatee. Smithers led his team to an emotional 35-30 victory over the Hurricanes, with a photo of Sprague looking on.

Rick Martin, Naples: Martin and his team had heard enough. The dynasty in Collier County is far from over for the Golden Eagles as Martin led Naples to a 63-33 statement win over Port Charlotte in a Class 3S, Region semifinal.

Jayson Roberts, Tampa Bay Tech: Revenge never felt so good. Roberts and his Titans lost 51-34 in the regular season to Armwood, but won when it counted the most in a 27-22 Class 3M, Region 1 semifinal.

Cory Johns, Bartram Trail: The Bears are road warriors and it takes a special extra something to get your team fired up for back-to-back road trips to the Panhandle. Johns guided his team to a thrilling 28-21 win over Niceville.

Elijah Williams, Jones: All season long, the Jones Fighting Tigers have heard it. Potential to be the team to beat in Orlando. Williams made sure Jones was the last ones standing in a 28-24 win over Edgewater, handing the Eagles their first loss of the season.

LaVaar Scott, Sebring: Can't ever count out the Blue Streaks when it comes to the playoffs. One of the most dangerous teams in Class 3S currently went on the road and upended Eau Gallie 21-12. Scott has his teams well prepared and will be a tough out in these playoffs.

Matt Hedrick, Bishop Moore: Playing against a very talented Riverside team, Hedrick had to press all the right buttons in order for the Hornets to come away with the dub. Hedrick led Bishop Moore to an exciting 37-35 victory over Riverside in a Class 2M region semifinal.

Jack Daniels, Cardinal Newman: All the hype around a rematch from the regular season between the Palm Beach County private schools seemed to be coming to fruition. Until they both took the field and that's where dominance occurred for the Crusaders, with Daniels leading them to a 28-6 win over Benjamin.
