It's playoff time for Florida high school football and the Sunshine State is producing some of the best quarterbacks in the country and some signal callers find themselves flying under the radar.

So which one has been the most underrated in 2023?

We give you a list of 23 signal callers to choose from as we take a deeper dive into which quarterbacks have been the most underrated 2023 season in Florida High School Football.

Voting concludes December 31st, 2023.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are the nominations:

Haden Klees, Wakulla: Yes, someone who's thrown 49 touchdowns is somehow underrated. Klees has really flown under the radar in the Big Bend and quietly had a strong campaign. The War Eagles' quarterback has completed 202-of-331 passes for 3,331 yards and 49 scores to just three picks.

Battle Alberson, Gulf Breeze: I mean, whenever you throw for eight touchdowns and over 500 yards in a game, you'd think some colleges would jump on you. Alberson has been making his case all season long with the Dolphins as the signal caller has thrown for 3,142 yards and 30 touchdowns this season.

Jackson LaTour, Oviedo: There's all kinds of talent roaming around the Central Florida region when it comes to quarterbacks. The one signal caller that's been lighting up the scoreboards, but not hearing his name a whole lot is LaTour, who has thrown for 2,864 yards, 36 touchdowns and just a mere four picks.

Edward Jordan, Beachside: The Barracudas played an independent schedule, so Jordan may have not caught the eye of everyone around the state. Jordan's numbers, though, have been as good as any with the quarterback throwing for 2,537 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Jack Niemann, Cypress Creek: When it comes to efficiency under center, Niemann was about as good as they came out of Pasco County. The signal caller completed 60 percent of his passes for 2,382 yards, 29 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

Andrew Heidel, Manatee: In asking the question 'Is Manatee back?', you have to first take a look at the play of the Hurricanes offense. Heidel shared snaps last season in a quarterback platoon system and has flourished this fall, throwing for 2,331 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Salomon Georges, Leesburg: Lake County gets overlooked sometimes by recruiters because of neighboring metro cities like Orlando and Tampa. That would be a mistake in passing up the play of Georges, who has been stellar for the Yellow Jackets. The quarterback has completed 132-of-184 passes for 2,209 yards and 29 touchdowns to just two picks.

Niko Boyce, Barron Collier: Transferring from Naples to Barron Collier did wonders for Boyce as he had his best season of his high school career. The Cougars' quarterback completed 133-of-244 passes for 1,908 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Hunter Pfiester, Navarre: You find many quarterbacks as hard-nosed, gritty as Pfiester for the Raiders. The dual-threat quarterback can it done through the air and on the ground, as Pfiester has thrown for 1,917 yards, 17 touchdowns and rushed for 602 and eight scores.

Bryce Frick, Nease: A lot was said about the play of wide receiver Maddox Spencer this season, but not on the quarterback throwing him the ball. Frick had a big time 2023 campaign for the district champion Panthers, as the senior threw for 1,896 yards and 20 touchdowns to just six interceptions.

Logan King, St. Cloud: King has been more than exceptional this season for the Bulldogs and his play wasn't recognized because of some of the big names in the Central Florida region. The St. Cloud quarterback has thrown for 2,115 yards and 24 touchdowns this fall.

Andrew Indorf, St. Thomas Aquinas: Whenever you've got guys like Chance Robinson, James Madison II, Jordan Lyle and Stacy Gage on offense, you're going to be overlooked a little bit. Indorf has stepped in under center and played well for the Raiders, throwing for 1,651 yards, 22 touchdowns and just one interception.

Jayden Vega, Benjamin: The Buccaneers center a lot of the offense around the talents of Georgia Bulldogs' commitment Chauncey Bowen. Bowen gets a lot of attention on Friday nights and Vega has benefitted, throwing for 1,592 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Brycen Levidiotis, Lake Wales: All the talk around Lake Wales this season has been about the play of its defense and running back Rashard Orr. How about a little love for the quarterback? Levidiotis has played exceptionally well for the Highlanders, throwing for 1,543 yards and 19 touchdowns this fall.

Dennis Murray Jr., Mainland: Murray Jr. has proven himself to be a very underrated dual-threat quarterback in his first season with the Buccaneers. The Mainland quarterback has thrown for 1,045 yards, 11 touchdowns and rushed for 580 and nine scores.

Luke Douglas, Jupiter: The Warriors' senior signal caller has quietly put together a really nice season this fall. Douglas has completed 119-of-187 passes for 2,114 yards, 21 touchdowns. Also has added 298 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.

Jackson Williams, Martin County: Though his numbers may not indicate it, Williams has been the glue to the Tigers' offense this season. The senior quarterback has thrown for 760 yards, five touchdowns and also rushed for 292 and two scores.

Jett Yurgealitis, University School: The senior quarterback led the way for the Sharks all season long. Yurgealitis completed 167-of-279 passes for 2,517 yards and 41 total touchdowns for University School.

Cameron Kurzon, Orlando Christian Prep: Kurzon may not have as many pass attempts, yards or touchdowns, but he proved to be very effective for the Warriors. The junior signal caller has completed 60-of-81 passes for 1,004 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Jaden Casanova, Pinellas Park: Playing within a run-heavy, triple option offense, Casanova had himself a strong junior campaign for the Patriots. The Pinellas Park quarterback has thrown for 1,401 yards and 12 touchdowns, adding 152 on the ground and four scores.

Karson Siqueiros-Lasky, Sanford Seminole: The Penn commit has flown under the radar, being a quarterback that transferred in the off-season, has been everything the Seminoles could've wanted out of a first-year starter. Siqueiros has thrown for 1,996 yards and 25 touchdowns to just eight picks.

Malachi Waters, Orange City University: If people weren't talking about the junior quarterback before the season, they certainly are now. Waters this season through 11 games has completed 133-of-184 passes for 2,117 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Dakota Brower, Oak Hall: Brower can get it done through the air and on the ground. Not many may have heard about Brower because of Oak Hall playing outside of the FHSAA state series, but the quarterback in 2023 has thrown for 1,215 yards, 12 touchdowns. Also has rushed for 515 yards and scored 10 times.
