We’ve selected 13 candidates to choose from this past week’s games

The Florida High School Football Playoffs have begun and we continue our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state. Teams started off the regular season with some great individual performances in the region quarterfinals.

As such, we have 13 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Tampa Bay high school football offensive player of the week award from November 9-10, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 18th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominations:

Jacob Drackett, QB, Calvary Christian: The Air Force commitment has completed 23-of-28 passes for 420 yards and six touchdowns in a 56-28 win over Lakewood. 

Sean Cuono, RB, Calvary Christian: Cuono played well in the Warriors' win, rushing for 163 yards on 28 carries. 

Jordan Battle, RB, Canterbury: The running back rushed for 223 yards on 21 carries and scored five touchdowns in a 46-28 win over Real Life Christian. 

Trey Whirley, QB, Northeast: Whirley threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-26 win over Hillsborough. 

Will Griffin, QB, Jesuit: Griffin threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns in Jesuit's 40-7 win over Pinellas Park. 

Emarian Triplett, RB, Pinellas Park: The Patriots' running back rushed for 116 yards on 21 carries in the loss to the Tigers. 

Greg Smith III, QB, Sumner: Smith III continued his hot streak and threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns in a 33-28 win over Riverview. 

Jeremy Thomas, QB, Largo: The Packers' quarterback amassed over 300 yards of offense and three touchdowns in a 25-14 win over East Bay. 

Josh Andrews, RB, Tampa Catholic: Andrews rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown in Tampa Catholic's 35-7 win over Robinson. 

Rod Gainey, RB, Tampa Bay Tech: Gainey rushed for 155 yards on eight carries and scored a touchdown in the Titans' 51-34 win over Fletcher. 

Waltez Clark, RB, Plant: Clark rushed for 70 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Panthers' 31-27 win over Plant City. 

Dallas Golden, RB, Berkeley Prep: Golden rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-0 win over Middleton. 

Michael Ryan, QB, Durant: Ryan had a big hand in Durant's 33-0 win over Palm Harbor University, throwing for 301 yards and four touchdowns.
