The Florida High School Football Playoffs have begun and we continue our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state. Teams started off the regular season with some great individual performances in the region quarterfinals.

As such, we have nine athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s North Suncoast Florida high school football offensive player of the week award from November 9-10, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 18th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

North Suncoast Offensive Player of the Week

Congratulations to last week's winner: John Capel III of Hernando.

Here are this week's nominations:

Luke Knight, QB, Wiregrass Ranch: The Army commitment came up big again for the Bulls, throwing for 253 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-27 win over Springstead in a Class 4S region quarterfinal.

Isaiah Riggins, WR, Wiregrass Ranch: When you set a county record for receiving yards in a season, it's a feat all in its own. Riggins set a new Pasco County single season mark and had 250 yards and multiple scores in the Bulls' win.

Tyree Davis, ATH, Springstead: In a losing effort, Davis proved he will be a problem for defenses in the future. The athlete compiled 115 all-purpose yards and accounted for three touchdowns.

Cayden Thomas, QB, Mitchell: Before Thomas went out with an injury early in the game, the sophomore looked like he was poised for a big night. The quarterback threw a touchdown on the game's opening possession in Mitchell's 49-17 loss to Lakeland.

Brendyn Colella, QB, Zephyrhills: Colella didn't have to throw much, but when he did, he was on point. The quarterback completed 5-of-9 passes for 169 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-17 win over Cypress Creek.

DJ Pickett, WR, Zephyrhills: Pickett caught three passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-17 win over the Coyotes.

Antonio Muniz, RB, Gulf: Against a vaunted Lake Wales' defense that had only allowed 37 points in 10 games, Muniz was determined to break through. The running back rushed for 227 yards on 36 carries and scored two touchdowns in a 56-20 loss to Lake Wales.

AJ McFarlane, WR, Hudson: McFarlane made sure to go out with a bang as the senior wide receiver caught seven passes for 99 yards and a touchdown in a 28-6 loss to Dunnellon.

Malachi Askin, RB, Cypress Creek: Askin rushed for 205 yards on 31 carries and scored two touchdowns in a 27-17 loss to Zephryhills.
