Look: Power outage delays Springstead at Wiregrass Ranch (Florida) playoff
WESLEY CHAPEL, FLORIDA – In the playoffs everyone knows the lights will go out on someone's season, but when both teams are in the dark prior to kickoff, it can be an unsettling situation.
That is exactly what happened Friday evening prior to the FHSAA 4S region quarterfinal playoff game between host Wiregrass Ranch and visiting Springstead.
White the Bulls and Eagles were going through their pregame warm-ups they were suddenly thrust into the dark, as the stadium lights went out about 30-minutes prior to the scheduled kickoff.
Fortunately, the power was restored and the lights came back on at approximately 7:10 p.m. After both teams are provided ample time to warm-up, the game will get underway.
At the end of the evening one team will advance into the next round, while, unfortunately, the other will once again see the lights go out on its season.
