Vote: Who should be SBLive's North Suncoast Florida high school football defensive player of the week (11/5/2023)?
High school football is back in the Sunshine State and so begins our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state. Teams started off the regular season with some great individual performances in Week 11.
As such, we have eight athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s North Suncoast Florida high school football defensive player of the week award from November 2-3, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 11th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominations:
Angel Miles, DB, Pasco: The Pirates' safety notched 13 tackles in the team's 51-24 loss to Land O' Lakes.
Colton Ashwood, LB, Hernando: Ashwood, an outside linebacker, made 11 tackles and two sacks in Hernando's 34-12 victory over Weeki Wachee.
Kayleb Samuel, LB, Wiregrass Ranch: The outside linebacker had a big night in the Bulls' 55-14 win over The Villages as Samuel notched four tackles for loss and three sacks.
Trindon Symonds, LB, Cypress Creek: Symonds, a senior linebacker, tallied eight tackles in the Coyotes' 31-17 victory over River Ridge.
Jason Coar, LB, Central: The sophomore linebacker compiled 12 tackles and a sack in the Bears' 40-26 loss to Umatilla.
Michael Houllis, DE, Mitchell: The defensive end tallied three tackles and two sacks in the Mustangs' 42-12 victory over Wesley Chapel.
Donovan Faria, DB, Land O' Lakes: Faria had an interception in the team's 51-24 victory over Pasco.
Mason Clarke, LB, Land O' Lakes: Clarke, who also plays on offense, deflected a pass to himself and returned it for a touchdown in the win over the Pirates.
