Here are this week's nominations: 

John Capel III, Football, Hernando: Capel III rushed for season-high 375 yards and scored four touchdowns in the Leopards' 34-12 victory over Weeki Wachee. 

Wells Bettenhausen, Football, Walton: The junior quarterback completed 14-of-18 passes for 293 yards and five touchdowns in the Braves 54-14 victory over Northview. 

Solomon Williams, Football, Carrollwood Day: The highly sought after Power Five prospect made his presence known in the Patriots’ 41-14 win over Gulliver Prep. Williams tallied four tackles for loss and three sacks. 

Jason Patterson, Football, Sneads: Patterson, a Cincinnati commit, had a strong night on only a handful of carries. The tailback rushed for 149 yards on eight attempts and scored three touchdowns in a 50-28 win over Freeport. 

Colin Raymond, Football, Lely: The senior quarterback had a huge night in the Trojans’ 68-44 win over Immokalee, completing 10-of-15 passes for 378 yards and four touchdowns.

Edward Jordan, Football, Beachside: Jordan has been one of the top production quarterbacks this 2023 season and he did it again last week. The signal caller completed 18-of-28 passes for 244 yards and six touchdowns in a 66-22 win over Providence School. 

DeAngelo Shorts, Football, Niceville: In his first game back since late September, Shorts certainly looked like he hadn’t missed a beat. The running back rushed for 214 yards on 10 carries and scored twice in a 63-34 win over Navarre. 

DJ Johnson, Football, Sarasota Riverview: The Rams’ tailback had himself a huge night as the junior carried the rock nine times for 168 yards and four touchdowns in a 54-6 win over Charlotte. 

Brady Stewart, Football, Aubrey Rogers: Stewart is a freshman running back for the first-year Patriots and he helped them nab win No. 2 on the season. The tailback rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown in a 36-0 rout of ABF Academy. 

Jamarice Wilder, Football, Venice: Wilder certainly went wild in the Indians’ thrilling 53-42 win over Clearwater Academy International. The tailback rushed for 177 yards on 24 carries and scored four touchdowns. 

Grover Colbert, Football, Brandon: Though it came in a loss, Colbert had a tremendous performance in a 61-30 decision to Alonso. Colbert rushed for 280 yards on 24 carries and scored three touchdowns. 

Rhys Bush, Football, Armwood: Bush is just a sophomore but he’s become a rising star at quarterback over in Seffner. The Hawks’ signal caller completed all 13 of his passes for 277 yards and six touchdowns in a 49-14 win over Lennard. 

Matthew Wilson, Football, Estero: The senior ended the regular season with a bang, completing 17-of-22 passes for 305 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-10 win over Bonita Springs. 

Tyler Peluso, Volleyball, Winter Park: In the Wildcats’ 3-2 win in the playoffs against Timber Creek, the junior setter had 46 assists. 

Annabelle Jones, Volleyball, Merritt Island: The sophomore setter had herself a big time match against Wesley Chapel in a 3-2 win, notching six aces and 33 assists. 

Isabella Starck, Volleyball, Viera: The senior middle hitter tallied 31 kills in the Hawks’ thrilling 3-2 win over Oviedo in the playoffs. 

Will Griffin, Football, Jesuit: The sophomore's stat line on the night had Griffin finishing completing 24-of-31 passes for 391 yards and seven scores in the Tigers’ 66-35 win over rival Tampa Catholic.
