Central Florida athletes put up some big numbers on offense all across Central Florida last week.

Athletes from seven counties turned in highlight-reel performances during Week 9 games. We looked at teams from Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, and Indian River counties and nominated 26 athletes for this week’s SBLive Central Florida Defensive Football Player of the Week from Oct. 19-21.

We ask you, the fan, to decide who should be the top player selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominations:

Ty’Ray Davis, QB, Wekiva (Apopka): Senior recorded career bests in passing for 530 yards and seven touchdowns in a wild 68-47 loss to Jones (Orlando) in a key Class 3 Metro, District 3 game.

Vernell Brown III, WR, ATH, Jones: Junior transfer from Wildwood had a big day for the Tigers with five receptions for 101 yards and a TD and a 43-yard punt return for a score in a victory against Wekiva (Apopka).

Kaden Shields-Dutton, RB, Edgewater: Ran for two TDs to lead unbeaten Edgewater (9-0) to a 45-0 victory against Horizon and the Class 3M-3 championship.

Isaiah Thomas, RB, Lake MaryPhysical back scored four TDs, three via the ground, in the first half to lead the unbeaten Rams (8-0) past Apopka, 49-21, in a key Class 4M-2 game. He finished with 16 carries for 108 yards rushing and a 37-yard TD catch.

Karson Siqueiros-Lasky, QB, Seminole (Sanford): Senior signal-caller lit it up in a 48-0 Class 4M-2 victory against Lake Brantley (Altamonte Springs), completing 11 of 14 passes for 272 yards and five TDs.

Marquet Williams, WR, OviedoStar senior caught seven passes for 184 yards and four TDs, including one for 90 yards, to lead the Lions to a big 49-21 victory against Lyman (Longwood) and the Class 3M-2 championship.

Juan Gainous, QB, Olympia (Orlando): Talented senior (6-foot-3, 215 pounds) threw three TD passes to lead the Titans past Freedom (Orlando), 48-8.

AJ Williams, QB, Winter ParkSenior completed 4 of 7 passes for 108 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score in one half of play to lead the unbeaten Wildcats (7-0) past Colonial (Orlando), 62-6.

Jackson Hughes, QB, Lake Minneola: Completed 20 of 27 passes for 374 yards and four TDs to lead the Hawks to a big 63-33 victory against Ocala Forest and the Class 4S-5 championship.

Bjorn Jurgensen, QB, Bishop Moore (Orlando): Junior had one of the best games of his career, completing 10 of 14 passes for 215 yards and six TDs and running for another score to lead the Hornets past Deltona, 59-0.

Adryan Marayne, RB, Orlando Christian Prep: Senior had a big night, rushing 23 times for 158 yards and one TD, and catching one pass for 15 yards to lift the Warriors (8-1) past West Oaks Academy, 35-18.

Caden Mitchell, QB, Hagerty (Oviedo): Junior standout completed 8 of 12 passes for 125 yards and two TDs in one half of play in a 41-3 Class 4M-3 victory against University High (Orlando).

Josh Perry, RB/FS, Lake Nona (Orlando): Physical junior had a big day for the Lions, rushing 41 times for 222 yards and two TDs in a 24-6 victory against Oak Ridge (Orlando).

Jake Sepe, QB, Mount Dora: Junior had another big day for the Hurricanes, completing 15 of 26 passes for 267 yards and four TDs in a 40-7 victory against Tavares.

Lashawn Williams, ATH, Eustis: Caught three TD passes to lead the Panthers past The First Academy (Orlando), 34-28.

Jake Mckissock, QB/P, The First Academy (Orlando): Sophomore completed 20 of 38 passes for 220 yards and three TDs in a close loss to Eustis.

Karl Nelson, QB, Halifax Academy (Daytona Beach): Passed for 193 yards, rushed for 97 and scored four total TDs to lead the Knights past Trinity Christian, 40-0.

Luke Smith, QB, Spruce Creek (Port Orange): Threw four TD passes in a wild 29-28 Class 4S-District 9 overtime victory against New Smyrna Beach.

Elijah Rooney, QB, New Smyrna Beach: Senior passed for two TDs and ran for 49 yards in a loss to Spruce Creek (Port Orange).

DJ Murray, QB, Mainland (Daytona Beach): Threw a 45-yard TD pass and ran for an 80-yard score to lead the unbeaten Buccaneers (8-0) past Osceola (Kissimmee), 22-0.

Brady Hart, QB, Cocoa: Star sophomore completed 7 of 7 passes for 132 yards and five TDs to lead the defending Class 2S state champ Tigers past Astronaut (Titusville), 63-0.

Mari Crooms, QB, Eau Gallie (Melbourne): Completed 7 of 10 passes for 172 yards and two TDs and ran for a score to lead the Commodores past Bayside, 45-0.

Traven Green, QB, RockledgePassed for four TDs to lead the Raiders past Merritt Island, 33-13.

Ramel Hernandez, WR/CB, Melbourne Central CatholicHauled in five passes for 125 yards and one TD to lead the Hustlers past Cocoa Beach, 38-0.

Kamar Fielder, WR/CB, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy (Melbourne): Freshman carried the ball 13 times for 127 yards and one TD in a 38-15 victory against American Heritage (Delray Beach).

Nicky Colontrelle, WR/DB, St. Edward’s School (Vero Beach): Junior had a solid night, catching 10 passes for 104 yards and three TDs to lead the Pirates to a 37-21 victory against Faith Christian (Orlando).
