Vote: Who has been the best senior quarterback in Florida so far in 2023?

We’ve plucked out 15 senior quarterbacks in Florida that have stood out this season.

We are just past the mid-point part of the high school football season here in the Sunshine State and there’s no shortage of upperclassmen performing at a high level. It’s no surprise that seniors are showing out in Florida in their final year of high school ball as that’s been the case in the past many times over. This list of upperclassmen features some of the top signal callers we’ve seen or have been on the rise in Florida. Take a look at our list and vote for who you feel has been the top performing senior quarterback in Florida.

Voting closes on October 31st, 11:59 pm.

Here are this week's nominations:

Cedrick Bailey, Chaminade-Madonna: The North Carolina State commitment has completed 135-of-198 passes for 1,639 yards, 21 touchdowns and just five interceptions for the undefeated Lions.

Colin Hurley, Trinity Christian Academy: Hurley, an LSU commit, has played well despite battling through a trying 2023 campaign. The Conquerors signal caller has thrown for 1,123 yards and 14 touchdowns this season.

Alberto Mendoza, Columbus: Though having a tough outing in a 32-16 loss to Homestead, Mendoza has otherwise been solid for the Explorers. The James Madison commit has thrown for over 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns this season.

Haden Klees, Wakulla: No senior has put up the kinda stats Klees has this season. The quarterback has thrown for 2,045 yards and 31 touchdowns to a mere two interceptions this season.

Anthony Barber, Westminster Academy: One of South Florida’s more efficient quarterbacks this season, with Barber throwing for 1,722 yards, completing 109-of-153 (71 percent) passing with 18 touchdowns and just two picks.

Luke Knight, Wiregrass Ranch: Transferring over from Merritt Island has done wonders for Knight and the Bulls. The Wiregrass Ranch starter has thrown for 2,006 yards, 24 touchdowns and one interception. Not bad for the Army commitment.

Jackson LaTour, Oveido: The Lions’ offense has been roaring behind the play of LaTour, who has thrown for 1,567 yards, 17 touchdowns and just one interception.

Shyeia Deveaux, Santaluces: Over in the 561 there’s been plenty of solid quarterback play, but none have matched the kind of production like Deveaux. The signal caller has compiled 74-of-105 passes for 1,315 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Peyton Gay, Bozeman: Alberson isn’t the only senior quarterback putting up big numbers. Gay has thrown for 1,164 yards, 18 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

JP Pickles, North Florida Christian: North Florida Christian’s offense is on a tear once again behind the play of Pickles under center. The senior has thrown for 1,377 yards, 18 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Battle Alberson, Gulf Breeze: The uncommitted quarterback has lit up the scoreboards with touchdowns all season long. Alberson has completed 135-of-235 passes for 1,906 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Jack Niemann, Wesley Chapel Cypress Creek: It almost doesn’t get too much better than the kind of season Niemann has had for the Coyotes. The senior has thrown for 1,614 yards, 22 touchdowns and just one interception.

AJ Truiolo, Spanish River: Taking cate of the football and throwing for plenty of yards/touchdowns is something Truiolo has done all season long. The Sharks’ quarterback has thrown for 1,584 yards and 17 touchdowns, with only two picks.

Aaron Williams, Winter Park: Williams has been impressed all season long for the Wildcats and his numbers speak to that. The signal caller has thrown for 1,346 yards, 15 touchdowns and just three interceptions.

Jacob Drackett, Clearwater Calvary Christian: The Air Force commitment has played well for the Warriors this fall, completing 87-of-133 passes for 1,455 yards and 16 touchdowns.
