High school football is back in the Sunshine State and so begins our player of the week polls for areas all around the state. Teams started off the regular season with some great individual performances in Week 5.

As such, we have 10 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Northeast Florida high school football offensive player of the week award from September 21-22, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, September 30 at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll. 



Here are this week's nominations.

Dylan Cook, QB, St. Augustine: Playing in place of Wake Forest commit Locklan Hewlett, Cook was cooking in the Yellow Jackets 34-31 win over rival Bartram Trail. Cook completed 23-of-35 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns. 

Harrison Garrido, RB, Creekside: In the 23-22 upset win over Mandarin, Garrido led the ground game by carrying the ball 26 times for 105 yards and two touchdowns. 

Ty’Ren Randolph, QB, Raines: The quarterback led the way in the Vikings’ 27-26 win over Trinity Catholic, throwing for 269 yards and three touchdowns. 

Rodney Tisdale Jr., QB, First Coast: Tisdale Jr. was on fire in the Buccaneers’ 65-20 win over Westside, completing 13-of-23 passes for 262 yards and four touchdowns. 

Adron Walker, WR, First Coast: The wide receiver was the top target for Tisdale Jr., catching five passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. 

Jaylen Pettway, QB, Ed White: Pettway had a big day in a 32-20 loss to Riverside as the quarterback completed 23-of-38 passes for 377 yards and two touchdowns. 

Ty Keister, QB, Englewood: The signal caller led the Rams in a 46-3 rout of Stanton, throwing 285 yards and two touchdowns. 

Neshawn Jacobs, RB, Baldwin: The running back carried the load in the Indians’ 35-18 win over Terry Parker, carrying the ball 23 times for 144 yards and a touchdown. 

Edward Jordan, QB, Beachside: Jordan had another big night for the Barracudas and threw for 271 yards and five touchdowns in a 50-0 win over Ridgeview. 

Riley Trujillo, QB, Bartram Trail: In his first game back for the Bears, the UCF commitment looked solid. Trujillo threw for 297 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-31 loss to St. Augustine.
