Vote for the SBLive Sports Athlete of the Week

Here are this week's nominations.

Dylan Cook, Football, St. Augustine: Playing in place of Wake Forest commit Locklan Hewlett, Cook was cooking in the Yellow Jackets 34-31 win over rival Bartram Trail. Cook completed 23-of-35 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns.

Luke Knight, Football, Wiregrass Ranch: The Army commitment had the best game of his prep career, went 27-of-37, throwing for 419 yards and eight touchdowns in the Bulls’ 57-33 win over Harmony.

Jack Niemann, Football, Cypress Creek: It was a flawless pitch-and-catch kinda day for the Coyotes’ quarterback as Niemann completed 6-of-7 passes for 146 yards and four touchdowns in a 70-6 win over Anclote.

Andrew Heidel, Football, Manatee: The junior quarterback played likely the best game of his prep career. Heidel completed 20-of-37 passes for 377 yards and four touchdowns in an exciting 31-24 win over Port Charlotte.

Jacob Drackett, Football, Clearwater Calvary Christian: Drackett, an Air Force commitment, had a near perfect day in a 57-6 win over Wildwood. The quarterback completed 10-of-11 passes for 251 yards and four touchdowns. Also added a rushing touchdown as well.

Noah Grubbs, Football, Lake Mary: The sophomore quarterback is on pace for what could be a historic season. Grubbs completed 23 of 34 passes for 381 yards and six touchdowns in a 42-7 rout against previously unbeaten Spruce Creek (Port Orange).

Jacob Gettman, Football, Mainland (Daytona Beach): How often do you get the chance to be the hero? Gettman got his chance last week and made the most of it. The place kicker nailed the game-winning 26-yard field to beat Lake Minneola and keep the Buccaneers unbeaten at 5-0.

Troy Saladin, Football, Eustis: What a stat line Saladin put up last week for the Panthers. The quarterback completed 18 of 31 passes for 368 yards and six scores in a wild 63-45 victory against Foundation Academy (Orlando).

Cole Hayes, Football, Riverdale: Hayes was one of the top rushers in the state yardage and touchdown wise in Week 5. The tailback rushed for 291 hard-earned yards and five touchdowns as the Raiders won 43-29 over Cypress Lake.

Cedrick Bailey, Football, Chaminade-Madonna: The Lions wanted to take down the 'bully' of South Florida and Bailey came through in the clutch in front of a national TV audience on ESPN2. The North Carolina State commit completed 28-for-41 passes for 321 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-28 win over Miami Central

Anthony Hall, Football, Escambia: Hall has come onto the scene as a first-year starter and has look anything but that. The signal caller was at it again and completed 20-of-28 passes for 346 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-0 win over Milton.

Will Ammons, Football, South Sumter: The Raiders don't throw the ball much, but when they do, Ammons is usually on the money. Ammons was perfect in South Sumter's 41-36 win over Mitchell, going 5-for-5 for 130 yards and two touchdowns.

Connor Mathews, Football, Navarre: Mathews is at it again for the Raiders and he was doing work across state lines in Alabama. In Navarre's 49-21 win over Carroll, Mathews carried the rock 28 times for 236 yards and four touchdowns.

Ryanne Robinson, Volleyball, Orange Park: Robinson had herself another big performance for the Raiders, notching 25 kills in a 3-2 win over Baker County.

Malia Brooks, Volleyball, St. Thomas Aquinas: The junior setter helped lead the Raiders to a 3-1 match win against Cardinal Gibbons and notched 20 assists.

Morgan Grace, Volleyball, Choctawhatchee: Grace helped fuel the Indians in a 3-2 victory over Navarre as the senior totaled 36 assists, 10 digs and two kills.
