Here are SBLive's updated statewide high school baseball rankings

With spring break tournaments taking place all over Florida there are dozens of matchups this week that could impact the statewide rankings.

Here are SBLive's statewide high school baseball rankings, which span all classifications. SBLive’s Florida baseball rankings are compiled by Ross Van De Griek and will be released weekly during the 2022 season.

1. IMG Academy (7-0)

This Week: vs Lakewood Ranch (Mon.), vs George Jenkins (Fri.)

The unbeaten Ascenders are the new No. 1 team in this week’s SBLive Florida baseball rankings.

2. The First Academy (Orlando) (6-0)

Previous Rank: 2

Last Week: Defeated Dr. Phillips 1-0

This Week: vs Olympia (Mon.), vs Ponte Vedra (Tues.)

The Royals have not allowed a run in each of their previous three games. The Royals kickoff the FCSL Spring Break Tournament this afternoon against Olympia in Sanford.

3. Stoneman Douglas (6-1)

Previous Rank: NR

Last Week: Defeated Barron Collier 5-1, Defeated West Broward 3-0

This Week: vs North Broward Prep (Tues.), vs Farragut (TN) (Wed.)

The Eagles have won six straight games, since suffering a 4-3 defeat to Taravella on opening night.

4. Berkeley Prep (9-0)

Last Week: Defeated Santa Fe Catholic 13-0, Defeated Bishop McLaughlin Catholic 3-2, Defeated Lakewood 18-0

This Week: vs Clay (Thu.), at Clearwater Central Catholic (Fri.)

What a week it was for the Buccaneers. In their three games last week, the Buccaneers outscored their opponents 34-2.

Florida commit Cade Kurland drove in five runs in their 18-0 win over Lakewood in their last game.

5. Calvary Christian (Clearwater) (7-0)

Last Week: Defeated Lovett (Georgia) 12-3, Defeated Clearwater Central Catholic 9-0

This Week: vs Creekside (Mon.), vs Seminole (Tues.)

The Warriors have averaged just over nine runs per game so far this season, outscoring their opponents 66-4.

South Florida commit Matt Rose drove in six runs, as well as hitting two home runs in their 12-3 win over Lovett last week.

6. Taravella (6-1)

Last Week: Defeated Monarch 11-0, Lost to St. Thomas Aquinas 3-2

This Week: vs Farragut (TN) (Tues.), vs Gulf Coast (Thu.), at Archbishop McCarthy (Fri.)

The Trojans begin a short two-game home stretch tomorrow against one of the top ranked teams in Tennessee.

7. Naples (9-0)

Last Week: Defeated Lely 8-2, Defeated Palmetto Ridge 14-3, Defeated Estero 2-0

This Week: vs Fort Lauderdale (Sat.)

The Eagles have been under the radar all season and find themselves ranked No. 7 in this week’s SBLive Florida baseball rankings.

8. Inspiration Academy (Bradenton) (5-1)

Last Week: Defeated Sarasota Riverview 1-0, Defeated IMG Academy Black 12-2

This Week: at Seacrest Country Day (Fri.)

The Lions find themselves in the SBLive Florida baseball rankings for the first time this season, checking in at No. 8

Sophomore utility player Will Rawls is leading the team, with nine runs batted in this season.

9. Fletcher (4-0)

Previous Rank: 4

Last Week: vs Mandarin (Fri.) (Postponed due to weather)

This Week: at Lake Highland Prep (Thu.), at Lake Highland Prep (Fri.)

The Senators have not had a game in 10 days, due to mother nature being unkind to them last week. The Senators will return to action on Thursday night, as they travel to Lake Highland Prep.

10. St. John’s Country Day (5-1)

Previous Rank: NR

Last Week: Lost to Buford (GA) 8-7

This Week: at Bolles (Fri.)

The Spartans round out the SBLive Florida baseball rankings Top 10. The Spartans will return to action on Friday night, where they travel to Bolles.

11. Leon (Tallahassee) (6-0)

Previous Rank: 7

Last Week: Defeated Godby (Tallahassee) 17-0

This Week: vs Belleview (Mon.), vs IMG Academy Silver (Tues.), vs Harmony (Wed.)

The Lions are off to a nice start to begin the 2022 season, as they’ve won their first six games. Junior Kieran Hemingway has led the charge for the Lions, as he’s drove in 10 runs on the young season.

12. Jupiter (6-1)

Last Week: Defeated Martin County 2-1, Defeated Treasure Coast 11-1

This Week: at Park Vista (Mon.)

Since sustaining their first loss of the season, the Warriors have responded with two straight wins outscoring their opponents 13-2.

13. Apopka (7-0)

Last Week: Defeated Lake Mary 5-3, vs Winter Park (Postponed)

This Week: No games scheduled

The Blue Darters enter the SBLive Florida baseball rankings for the first time this season, checking in at No. 13

14. Westminster Christian (6-1)

Last Week: Defeated Miami Springs 3-0, Defeated Hialeah Educational Academy 16-0, Lost to Mater Lakes Academy 7-4

This Week: at Columbus (Mon.), vs Archbishop McCarthy (Thu.)

The Warriors are coming off their first loss of the season in their last game, but still find their way in the SBLive top 15. Senior shortstop Rene Ramirez is hitting .455 and has drove in a team-high 10 runs in seven games played this season.
