Servite wrestling coach Alan Clinton praises Mason Graham - college football national champion - on CIF Southern Section Sitdown

Alan Clinton tells a story about national champion Mason Graham, who went from an unbalanced freshman to a wrestling All-American at Servite

High school wrestling coach Alan Clinton has been to the CIF Southern Section finals 28 times between his time at El Modena and Servite.

Clinton has been teaching technique on the mat for over 40 years, and has a track record to prove it with 14 CIF crowns.

One of his most notable wrestlers is Mason Graham, a former Servite football standout who most recently won a college football national championship with Michigan as a sophomore starting defensive lineman.

"Coach Troy Thomas encouraged his football players to wrestle, especially if they played on the offensive or defensive line," Clinton said. "Mason came in as a freshman ... he did not have the body awareness or balance at first, but then he turned into an All-American."
