Etiwanda's 5-star forward duo of Grace Knox and Kennedy Smith led the Eagles to their second CIF-SS title in three years

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - Etiwanda is the Southern Section Open Division girls basketball champion for the second time in three years.

After leading just 20-15 at halftime, the Eagles continued their defensive masterclass in the second half while finding their rhythm on offense, and stampeded their way to a 65-44 victory.

5-star junior Grace Knox led the game with 19 points and three steals, and grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds for Etiwanda. Kennedy Smith, a USC commit and McDonald's All-American, recorded 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks. Long Beach State commit Mykelle Richards added 13 points on 4-6 shooting for the Eagles, and Aliyahna "Puff" Morris had 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Sierra Canyon was led by 5-star sophomore Jerzy Robinson (17 points, 15 rebounds, two steals) and McDonald's All-American Mackenly Randolph (14 points, 16 rebounds, two steals). Izela Arenas added 11 points for Sierra Canyon.
