Lincoln of Stockton pulls another upset, now faces top-seed Modesto Christian in the final; Del Oro shocks top-seed Jesuit in D1 semifinal, Vanden crushes Capital Christian

There were stunners abound in three divisions of the 2023 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section boys basketball playoff semifinals on Monday.

The biggest may have been Lincoln of Stockton, which for the second consecutive round went on the road to defeat a higher seed, in this case the Trojans defeated a 28-2 Rocklin squad three days after it rocked second-seed Monterey Trail.

Lincoln now hopes to stun the top three seeds when it faces top-seed Modesto Christian, a 64-56 win over visiting Inderkum, in Wednesday's championship game at Golden 1 Center. Both teams enter with 26-5 records.
