The Mustangs are the higher seed in this matchup, but JSerra pulled out a double-overtime victory when these two teams met in November.

Brayden Burries and No. 2 seed Roosevelt face a rematch with No. 7 seed JSerra on Friday

Roosevelt (28-2)
The Mustangs earned the No. 2 seed in the CIF Southern Section Open Division tournament and broke into the Top 25 national rankings this week after defeating Centennial 63-50 in last week's Big VIII League tournament final.
As he's done all season, five-star junior Brayden Burries shouldered the load for Roosevelt, tallying 31 points and seven rebounds to lead the Mustangs to a wire-to-wire victory.
After getting redemption against Centennial last week, the Mustangs will look to keep it rolling in this rematch against JSerra.
JSerra (24-4)
The Lions' only three in-state losses this season have come against Mater Dei and St. John Bosco (twice), who are ranked No. 3 and No. 6, respectively, in the Top 25 California boys basketball rankings.
They needed double-overtime to defeat Roosevelt last time, but ended up winning that game by 14 points.
To get by the Mustangs again in this rematch, they'll look to Aidan Fowler and Sebastian Rancik, who combined to score 63 points last time these two teams played.
