Twelve straight wins vaults the Broncos to the top spot in SBLive's updated Central Section computer rankings

Clovis North's boys has caught fire the last six weeks with 12 straight wins.

That has propelled the Broncos (22-5) to the top spot in the Central Section SBLive boys basketball computer rankings following games played on Feb. 1.

Among their big wins are over Jesuit-Carmichael (78-66), Vanden (80-63), Buchanan (82-57), Clovis West (79-67) and Clovis East (71-58).

Other top ranked teams include defending Division 1 champion St. Joseph (22-2), Clovis West (21-6), Edison (19-8), Clvois East (15-10) and Centennial (18-7).

SBLive's computer rankings formula was created using its own linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking Method. Colley’s Method was created by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He devised his algorithm in order to help address the subjectivity and controversy regarding BCS college football selections in the 1990s and early 2000s, using a method that used no subjective variables.

Here are orther California Interscholastic Federation computer rankings after games completed Feb. 1.
