Folsom beats St. Bonaventure in CIF State 1A final: Live updates, scoring recap
MISSION VIEJO, CALIFORNIA - Folsom wins its fifth CIF State title in six appearances after beating St. Bonaventure 20-14 in the Division 1A final at Saddleback College Saturday night.
Ryder Lyons delivered the game-winning touchdown with 20 seconds left with a 10-yard connection to Jameson Powell.
The Seraphs were in the 2007 and 2008 CIF State finals, and 2008 was also the last time they won a CIF Southern Section title. Folsom on the other hand has been to four CIF State finals since 2017, winning two Division 1AA titles in back-to-back fashion in 2018 and 2017. The Bulldogs lost in 2021.
