Birmingham's Kingston Tisdell unleashed a tight spiral from his own 48-yard line to Peyton Waters with no time remaining trailing 28-24. The ball tipped of the fingers of a Del Norte defender as Peyton leapt to receive the ball, but the ball fell in the hands of Devyn Jackson who ran the remaining 12 yards to score the game-winning touchdown in one of the most dramatic finishes you'll ever see in a high school football game.
Birmingham won the game 30-28 thanks to the walk-off touchdown and lifted the CIF State Division 3-AA regional title at Del Norte High in San Deigo.
The four-time defending City champs will take on Acalanes of Lafayette in the state final next weekend at a time and location to be determined.
Tisdell threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns in the game and will head into the CIF State title game with no interceptions thrown this season - a remarkable stat of efficiency.
Running back Dredon Fowles rushed for 125 yards on 26 carries, filling in the gap for the missing Ronnell Hewitt (injured).
Birmingham trailed the entire game until the final play.
