Look: Video highlights of Glendale's 4-game win over Marin Academy for CIF State D4 girls volleyball title

The Nitros win their first state championship and 33rd straight match of the season

Glendale brought a large, loud and enthusiastic contingent to Santiago Canyon College in Orange Saturday morning. 

The Triton (40-6) didn't disappoint their fans, school or coaches with an impressive 25-17, 25-22, 19-25, 25-19 win over Marin Academy to capture first state title and 33rd consecutive match this season with a Division IV championship triumph.

Glendale won via a terrific attack featuring Aleina Manaois, with 28 kills, and Eileen Herrera with 17 kills. The Wildcats (23-17) were paced by Kate Lane with 17 kills.

The win gave the school their first state title, after recently taking the first section title in school history. Glendale began the season 0-3 and was 7-6 on September 19, then finished the campaign with 33 straight wins.
