Look: Caden McCallum leads Santa Monica over Kaiser in CIF-SS football playoffs

A year after finishing 2-8, the Santa Monica high school football team will be playing for a CIF Southern Section championship. 

Senior running back Caden McCallum rushed for 242 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries to lead the Vikings to a 35-21 win over Kaiser on Friday night in the CIF-SS Division 9 semifinals. 

Santa Monica (9-4) will host Rio Hondo (12-1) in the Division 9 championship game on Friday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. 

McCallum broke the game open with a 78-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that gave Santa Monica a 28-7 lead. (You can watch the highlight-reel run in the video above.)
