Here are the candidates for SBLive’s California High School Coach of the Week for Week 11 (Nov. 2-4) as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Dominic DiMare, San Marin: Nominated for the second time this season, DiMare and San Marin recorded a historic 10-6 victory over previously-unbeaten Marin Catholic for an undisputed MCAL championship and undefeated regular season. Marin Catholic hadn't lost a league game since 2014, lost a league race since 2008, or been held to six points since 2018.
Mike Gemo, Live Oak (Morgan Hill): In a battle of unbeatens, Live Oak outdueled Christopher 28-24 for a sweep of the Mountain Hamilton League and an undefeated regular season. After Christopher scored 21 points in the first quarter, Live Oak held its foe to three points the rest of the way.
Golden Anderson, Carmel: Carmel pulled away in the second half to defeat Pacific Grove 42-21, winning the Pacific Coast - Mission South League and finishing 10-0. That marks a whopping six undefeated regular seasons in Anderson's 15 years as head coach.
Kyle Godfrey, Apple Valley: After falling by one point to Hesperia in an upset loss during league play, Apple Valley returned to Scorpion Stadium and defeated Hesperia 35-32 to open the CIFSS Division 5 playoffs. Senior running backs Xavier Salazar and ZyRon Belcher combined for 218 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries.
Bo Beatty, Bonita: Six weeks after losing by one point at home to Northview, Bonita took down Northview 21-20 at home in the first round of the Southern Section D5 playoffs.
Aric Galliano, San Jacinto: The Tigers mark yet another Southern Section Division 5 team that avenged a regular season loss with a first-round playoff win at the same site – and they did it in blowout fashion. After losing 40-37 at Liberty for a Mountain Pass League title, San Jacinto returned to Winchester and routed the Bison 56-14.
Charlie Ramirez, Pittsburg: Three different Pirates threw a touchdown pass, six different Pirates recorded an interception, and Elijah Bow ran for three touchdowns as Pittsburg thrashed Antioch 55-6 to cement an undefeated regular season in Charlie Ramirez' first season at the helm.
Jacob Rincon, El Cerrito: In a Tri-County - Rock League title game that some expected to be competitive, El Cerrito blew out Salesian College Prep 34-0. Micah Avery ran for 139 yards on just seven carries, and caught a 43-yard touchdown.
Reginald Harris, Inderkum: After starting the season with a loss, Inderkum won its tenth straight game to open the CIFSJS D1 playoffs with a bang. Ricky Cole completed 12 of 16 passes for 220 yards and five touchdowns, and ran for a touchdown as the Tigers routed Pleasant Grove 62-17.
Phil Grams, Ripon Christian: With a 63-0 playoff beatdown of Golden Sierra, Ripon Christian upped its winning streak to 10 games, remained unbeaten against in-section competition, and recorded its fourth straight shutout – which was its eighth total of the season.
