CIF State girls volleyball playoff brackets: Scores, matchups, game times
The brackets for the six-division 2023 CIF California girls volleyball tournament have been finalized.
The Southern and Northern California region tournament begins Tuesday (Divisions 1-5) or Wednesday (Open Division) and finishes on Nov. 14 with regional championships. The winners of those meet Nov. 17-18 at Santiago Canyon College in Orange for championships.
A total of 176 teams — all section champions — will compete in the tournament.
Defending state champions are Cathedral Catholic (Open Division), Branson (Division 1), Chaminade (D2), Archie Williams (D3), Ripon Christian (D4) and Berean Christian (D5).
Defending Northern California champions are Saint Francis (Open), Branson (D1), Clovis North (D2), Archie Williams (D3), Ripon Christian (D4) and Berean Christian D5).
Defending Southern California champions are Cathedral Catholic (Open), Palos Verdes (D1), Chaminade (D2), buckley (D3), Central Valley Christian (D4) and Victory Christian Academy (D5).
Top 2023 Northern California seeds are Mitty (Open), Marin Catholic (D1), Windsor (D2), Harbor (D3), El Dorado (D4) and Skyline (D5).
Top 2023 Southern California seeds are Mater Dei (Open), Alemany (D1), Bakersfield Christian (D2), Sunny Hills (D3), Glendale (D4), California City (D5).
