CIF San Diego Section football playoffs: Live scores, bracket updates from 1st round games (11/3/2023)
The 2023 CIF San Diego Section high school football playoffs kick off on Friday (November 3) with first-round games across seven divisions. The four-team Open Division playoffs don't start until next Friday (November 10).
There are dozens of intriguing first-round playoff matchups on the schedule, including Mater Dei Catholic vs. Madison in the Division I bracket. The Warhawks and Crusaders will face off for only the third time since 2007 with each of the previous two coming in the postseason. The Crusaders are the reigning Division 1 champions and will be looking for their third straight CIF championship. The Warhawks, who played in the Open Division playoffs last season, are looking for their first CIF title since 2016.
