Bishop O'Dowd's Miles Dixon is SBLive/Sports Illustrated's Northern California Athlete of the Week (10/30/2023)

Senior receiver and defensive back catches five touchdown passes in big win for the Dragons

Miles Dixon has put up some big numbers his senior season.

But the 6-foot-1, 185-pound senior receiver and defensive back for Bishop O'Dowd of Oakland really had the game of his career during a 57-20 win over Moreau Catholic on Oct. 13.

Dixon hauled in nine passes for 171 yards and a remarkable five touchdowns from junior quarterback Devin Wilson, who threw for 283 yards and six scores.

Dixon didn't slow down after the win over Moreau Catholic, catching two touchdown passes in each of his next games, a 49-10 win over Castro Valley and.a 33-29 loss to James Logan.

In eight regular-season games, Dixon has 41 catches for 633 yards and 12 touchdowns.
