CIF Central Section 2023 football playoff brackets: Scores, matchups, game times
The brackets for the seven-division 2023 Central Section football tournament has been finalized.
The games kick off Friday and concludes Nov. 24. The champions (other than 8-person) advance to the CIF State Northern Regional championships on Dec. 1-2. State championships — winners of the regional finals — take place Dec. 8-9 at three different venues: Pasadena College, El Camino College-Torance and Saddleback College-Mission Viejo.
Defending Central Section champions are Liberty (Division 1), Lemoore (D2), Kennedy (D3), Shafter (D4), Atascadero (D5), Mendota (D6) and 8-player (Fresno Christian).
Top seeds in the 2023 brackets are Clovis North (D1), Central Valley Christian (D2), Mission Prep (D3), Shafter (D4), Bishop Union (D5), Arvin (D6) and Tulelake (8-person).
