Top 25 Northern California Coast high school football rankings (10/10/2023)

Not much movement after the top 25 teams go a combined 21-2

One of the biggest games of the year is Friday, when second-ranked De La Salle (4-2) travels to No. 3 San Ramon Valley (6-0) with a 265-game North Coast Section unbeaten streak on the line.

The last time the Spartans lost to a NCS team was in the 1991 3A championship game, 35-27, to Pittsburg.

De La Salle has rattled off 31 straight NCS titles and never lost to a section team during the regular season as well. San Ramon Valley, with one of Northern California's top quarterbacks Luke Baker, and a strong cast, that includes junior linebacker Marco Jones, has a legitimate shot to score the historic win.

The Northern California Coast rankings encompass all squads from the North Coast, Central Coast, San Francisco and Oakland sections.

Another big game out of the Central Coast Section pits No. 21 Hillsdale (6-0) at No. 19 Menlo School (6-0) on Friday afternoon.
