Mt. Diablo senior Herschel Turner is SBLive's Northern California Athlete of the Week

Nation's leading rusher continues to contribute — on both sides of the ball — leading the Red Devils to another big victory

Herschel Turner continues to top himself, which seems impossible to do.

The 3-star senior running back and linebacker for Mt. Diablo put up another two-way monster performance during a 53-20 win over San Lorenzo on Sept. 15.

Turner, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound speedster with nine college offers, rushed 11 times for 322 yards and six touchdowns, then added five tackles, two fumble recoveries and a caused fumble on defense.
