California CIF high school football schedule this week (9/22/2023)
The 2023 CIF California high school football season rolls on this week with another packed slate of big games kicking off Thursday and continuing through Saturday.
The action gets started with more than 25 games on Thursday night, including one that features a team in the California Top 25 high school football rankings.
No. 18 Pacifica will put its undefeated record on the line when it hosts Dos Pueblos in Oxnard.
The Tritons are averaging more than 30 points per game this season and have yet to let an opponent register more than 15 points in any of their contests.
As usual, Friday will be the biggest day of the week with 13 of the top teams in California playing that night.
Friday also features the best matchup of the week as No. 15 Folsom hosts No. 24 De La Salle.
There is no shortage of history between these two teams, and they've taken turns ending each other's seasons each of the past two years with both games being decided by three points or less.
The week concludes with another 40 games on Saturday.
No. 9 Mission Viejo will be the only ranked team in the CIF to play on Saturday when the Diablos travel to the nation's capitol to battle St. John's in Washinton D.C.
