Jurian Dixon, the back-to-back San Diego Section Player of the Year, announced his commitment to UC Irvine on Thursday morning.

Dixon, who averaged 18 points, six rebounds and four assists per game, added offers from UC Davis, Pepperdine and UC Irvine over the past few weeks before selecting the Anteaters.

As a freshman, Dixon scored 32 points and pulled down 21 rebounds to help San Ysidro capture a San Diego Section Division 3 championship. He transferred to St. Augustine during the following offseason and won two Open Division titles with the Saints as a junior and senior.

Dixon was named to SBLive's All-State team this past season while leading the Saints into the CIF State Open Division regional semifinals.

Dixon joins Khristian Gonzalez (Idaho), Mikey Williams (Memphis), JJ Taylor (Memphis) and Cyprian Hyde (Portland) as San Diego's fifth Division 1-signee in San Diego's class of 2023.
