Seven-footer Jazz Gardner transfers from Los Altos to West Ranch

Gardner has received scholarship offers from Illinois, Kansas, LSU, Pepperdine, UC Santa Barbara, USC and Virginia Tech.

Jazz Gardner, one of the top recruits nationally in the 2023 class, has transferred from Los Altos to West Ranch. Gardner's father Jelani made the announcement on Twitter. Jazz's brother Jai, a 2025 guard, has also transferred.

Jazz Gardner, a seven-footer, has received scholarship offers from Illinois, Kansas, LSU, Pepperdine, UC Santa Barbara, USC and Virginia Tech.

Gardner led Los Altos to a 17-3 record in 2021 as a sophomore and a 26-7 mark last season as a junior. Both years the Conquerors made deep Section playoff runs to qualify for the CIF State playoffs.

Gardner joins a West Ranch team that already brings back a lot of talent with Jaqari Miles, James Evans, Bryce Cofield and Andrew Meadow all set to return. Add in Gardner and that five will be one of the top units in the state. West Ranch went 12-0 in the Foothill League last season before losing to eventual Division 1 champion St. Bernard on a buzzer beater in the Southern Section playoffs. Next year's West Ranch team will have a chance to make the Open Division playoffs in the Southern Section.
