CYPRESS– Crean Lutheran unofficially wrapped up an Empire League title on Tuesday with a 67-65 win at Cypress, its second close win against the Centurions this season.

Saints PG Taylor Feldman, who committed to Northern Arizona earlier in the month, put on a clinic on attacking the rim and finished with 36 points. Feldman came in averaging 28.5 PPG in her previous two outings, and 23 of her points came in the second half on Tuesday. Emily Reed scored 13 points with three made threes for Crean, with eight of her points coming in the second half. Gianna DeForest and Sydnee Norwood both added seven points.

While they couldn't pull out the win, the Centurions also had an outstanding showing on offense with four players finishing in double-digits. Myia Collins led Cypress with 13 points, Lauryn Nakamura and Vanessa Gonzalez each scored 12, and Jasmine Arnold finished with 10. Jan Lim and Isabella Caceres added eight points and six points, respectively. Cypress knocked down eight threes on the night.

Having won both meetings against Cypress, Crean Lutheran can clinch a tie for a league title with one more win, and clinch an outright title by winning two of its final three regular season games. In the first go-around of league play, the Saints defeated their three remaining opponents by a combined 101 points, so they will be heavily favored to complete the title quest.
