SBLive’s statewide California high school girls basketball rankings are compiled by reporter Lance Smith and are released weekly throughout the spring 2021 season. Here are the rankings for the week of June 13.

1. Mater Dei (20-0)

As much hype as Mater Dei's CIFSS championship game against Centennial received in the weeks leading up to it, the incredible game – ended on a buzzer-beating three by Mater Dei wing Lani White in overtime – managed to exceed expectations.

Entering the Southern California Regional playoffs, Mater Dei is officially having one of the most dominant seasons in recent state history.

2. Corona Centennial (22-1)

Corona-Centennial girls basketball

A heartbreaking loss against Mater Dei doesn't really taint the amazing season the Huskies are having. In the three playoff games before the championship, they beat West, Windward, and Orangewood by a combined 96 points. And there's a good chance the two will meet again in the CIF Southern Region Open Division finals, in which case it should be another 50-50 game.

Centennial got banged up in the title match though, with Jayda Curry, Londynn Jones, and Sydni Summers all limping at times, and Trinity San Antonio exiting the game late in the fourth quarter with an apparent lower body injury. Hopefully they can get back to 100% quickly, as there's not much room for error without a ton of depth.

3. Cathedral Catholic (19-3)

The Dons avenged an 0-2 regular season record against Bonita Vista to beat the Barons 55-49 in the San Diego Section title game.

4. Clovis West (19-0)

The Golden Eagles beat Clovis for the third time this season 53-36 to cruise to an undefeated season and Central Section title. And that 17-point win was nearly their closest of the year.

5. Bonita Vista (24-4)

Bonita Vista didn't win the match with Cathedral that counted the most, but they'll potentially have a shot at revenge in the state playoffs.

6. La Jolla Country Day (16-4)

After splitting meeting with Bonita Vista during the regular season, LJCDS lost the rubber match, an overtime nail-biter in the semifinals.

7. Harvard-Westlake (22-3)

The Wolverines didn't play last week, but could go on a run in the CIF Open Division regional playoffs.

8. St. Mary's (Stockton) (8-1)

The Rams haven't played in a couple weeks.

9. Pinewood (16-0)

Unbeaten Pinewood knocked off Archbishop Mitty 50-48 in something of an upset to win the Central Coast Section.

10. Windward (14-3)

The Wildcats went 2-1 in the CIFSS Open Division playoffs.

11. Archbishop Mitty (13-2)

The Monarchs lost to Pinewood in the CIFCCS title game.

12. Etiwanda (16-4)

Etiwanda girls basketball

Etiwanda had a week off from games.

13. Salesian (14-1)

Salesian didn't play last week.

14. West (Torrance)

The Warriors didn't play and await the state playoffs.

15. Lynwood (16-5)

Lynwood is in the same boat.

16. Orangewood Academy (12-8)

As is Orangewood.

17. Long Beach Poly (15-2)

Long Beach Poly girls basketball

The Jackrabbits blew out Fairmont Prep and Esperanza last week to win a CIFSS Division 1 title. Poly has stood pat at 17 the last two weeks despite its dominant run, but don't be surprised if they pass some CIFSS Open Division teams in the rankings with regional playoffs coming ahead.

18. Mission Hills (21-6)

A 14-point loss against Cathedral in the CIFSDS semifinals doesn't warrant a drop in the rankings for the Grizzlies.

19. Fairmont Prep (16-7)

Fairmont Prep girls basketball

The Southern Section Division 1 semifinalist awaits the CIF Division 1 regional playoffs.

20. Esperanza (21-3)

The Aztecs lost 80-52 in the CIFSS Division 1 finals against Poly, but that doesn't take away from an outstanding run to the finals.

21. Antelope (9-1)

The Titans haven't played since May 21. Their only loss came narrowly against Salesian.

22. Rosary Academy (17-5)

Rosary Academy Royals

While this young Royals team isn't quite at the level it was at the previous two seasons, be forewarned that they've won the CIF Division 1 Southern Region title twice in a row.

23. Sierra Canyon (20-5)

If Sierra Canyon makes a regional playoff birth and is at full-strength, don't be surprised to see SC rack up a big win or two.

24. Roosevelt (13-2)

Roosevelt is a possible CIF Division 1 regional playoffs selection.

25. Alemany (15-2)

The Warriors stormed their way to a CIFSS 2-AA title.
