The CIF San Diego Section announced their updated schedules for Season 1 and Season 2 sports on Friday morning after a court ruling in San Diego Superior Court last week cleared a path for high school sports to resume.

The temporary restraining order handed down by San Diego Superior Court Judge Earl Maas allows all youth sports in San Diego County to begin immediately, as long as they abide by the California Department of Public Health guidelines previously set for collegiate and professional teams.

The San Diego Section has yet to receive guidance from the state on the required COVID-19 testing for high contact sports that will be paid for and organized by the State of California.

Here are the updated schedules:

Cross Country and Swim and Dive may continue to practice and compete.

Field Hockey may begin competitions on Feb. 27th and will have their season extended through April 3rd.

Football begins practice today (Feb. 26th) and may hold competitions between March 12th and April 17th.

Gymnastics and Girls Volleyball may begin practice on Feb. 26th and hold competitions from March 5th thru April 3rd.
