Here are the candidates for the Scorebook Live Southern California boys basketball player of the week for Jan. 6-12, as nominated by fans, readers and Scorebook Live’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Players from the Southern, LA City and San Diego Sections are considered. JT Tan, Rolling Hills Prep: Tan had a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds in the Huskies' 61-47 win over La Salle.

Aviv Hazan, Grant: Hazan scored 36 points, draining eight 3-pointers in Grant's 76-69 win against Venice.

Noah Veluzat, Valencia: Veluzat led all scorers with 24 points in a 62-59 Valencia win over Saugus.

Luke Turner, Rancho Christian: Turner had 31 points on 12/13 shooting in a 103-71 win against San Ysidro.

Christopher Hammond, Campbell Hall: Hammond had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds to go along with 3 assists and 3 blocks in Campbell Hall's 56-61 loss to Providence.

Tajavis Miller, Servite: Miller was on fire, scoring 40 points in Servite's thriller OT loss to St. John Bosco.

AJ Burgin, San Diego: Burgin records a triple-double with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in a 71-50 victory against Point Loma.

BJ Boston, Sierra Canyon: Boston dropped 30 points in Sierra Canyon's 78-62 win against Rancho Christian.

Kunal Bagga, Servite: Bagga netted 31 points in Servite's 74-44 win over Glendora.

Rudy Suarez, Covina: Suarez put up 31 points to go along with 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in the Colts' win against Rowland, 69-58.

Clark Slajchert, Oak Park: Slajchert scored 32 points and had 7 dimes in Oak Park's 84-59 win over Troy.

Ivis Hernandez, Grant: Hernandez put up 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in Grant's 70-66 victory over Highland.

R. Lloyd Jr., Taft: Lloyd netted 32 points in Taft's 71-64 win against Santa Clarita Christian.

Ian Martinez, JSerra: Martinez scored 29 points and had the game-winning assist in the Lion's 55-54 win over St. John Bosco.
