YAKIMA -- Brady Metz scored 20 points and drilled six 3-pointers to lead four King's Way Christian players in double figures as the Knights ran away from La Center 85-63 Wednesday morning in the opening round of the WIAA Class 1A boys basketball state tournament at the Yakima SunDome.

Gage Koenders (12), Kobi Cason (10) and Bailey Meek (10) also scored in double figures for the Knights, who hit 11 3-pointers.

Hunter Ecklund led La Center (18-7) with 28 points.

King's Way (20-6) moves on to Thursday's quarterfinals where they will face No. 1 seed Seattle Academy at 10:30 a.m.
