TACOMA - Marysville-Pilchuck took down Central Kitsap 63-48 in the opening round of the WIAA 3A boys basketball state tournament at the Tacoma Dome on Wednesday morning.

Cameron Stordahl led all scorers with 25 points, while Aaron Kalab (13) and Luke Dobler (11) added to the scoring for the Tomahawks.

Marysville-Pilchuck held a 24-16 lead heading into halftime, but exploded for 39 second-half points and led by as many as 22 points in the second half.

The Tomahawks advance to the quarterfinals to take on Garfield Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Tacoma Dome.
